Hotel Tyrol - Schenna

We stayed in this property for 5 nights, after a long journey we checked in, everything seemed ok, we arrived in the room, which was nice, but I immediately noticed that there was no air conditioning. Since I suffer a lot from the heat and can have unpleasant episodes in the heat, so before booking a place the first option I looked at was whether they have an air conditioning system in the structure. At this point my husband goes down to reception and asks to move us to a room with air conditioning or at least have a solution, the boy at reception tells him, with quite a bit of difficulty, that they don't have any room with air conditioning, which seems strange to him, knowing my situation. It's impossible that we booked in a place that doesn't have air conditioning but don't worry, my husband tells him that's fine and asks if it's at least possible to get us a fan, the boy tells him that he'll see if he can find a fan. we wait an hour, given the absence of a telephone in the room so he couldn't call us, we decide to go downstairs to ask if they managed to find a fan, otherwise we would have had to go home. When we arrived at reception we found the boy (responsible at the time) sitting calmly at the bar counter sipping his drink instead of solving the problem, which bothered me even more... to make sure I hadn't made a mistake I had double-checked on the internet that the structure had air conditioning, in fact among the information it appeared that the rooms were air conditioned. At this point I return to reiterate my problem. He calmly tells me that there was nothing he could do and we would have to wait until 5.00pm/30pm for the Shef to arrive. We go back to the room, we wait, in all of this we don't touch anything while waiting for an answer given that if he had to move us or give us a fan... after more than an hour of waiting in a hot room I'm starting to feel unwell so with my husband we decide to go back down and get an answer otherwise we will have left. Again he was sitting blissfully at the bar and I told him that from their website I understand they have rooms with air conditioning, so given my state I can't wait for whoever has to arrive and call and inquire and give us an answer. If they bring us a fan or move us to another room, otherwise they will give us our money back since we had already paid for the entire stay and will have left. So at that point she tells us that they have two rooms available with air conditioning and if we want they will move us but we had to pay the difference even though it seemed to me that we had paid a lot for 5 days and we should have already had the room with air conditioning I ask her how much it was difference and if I could see the room first. he tells us the price he takes us upstairs and I tell him ok it's fine for the agreed amount and the room. we go downstairs to change the room keys. At that point he starts telling me only for the first 3 nights in that room and then we have to move to another one with the same climate for the remaining nights and I tell him ok even though I wasn't crazy about having to change rooms halfway through my stay. once he has registered me and given me the keys he tells me that however the price was not certain maybe even more which I tell him no tell me now the price in the end he says it's fine for the price initially agreed and I tell him ok...in all this we have lost the whole afternoon of the first day without being able to use the swimming pool since it could only be used until 7pm. we take a shower and then go downstairs for dinner, everything is fine, the dining room staff are all very kind and attentive to the needs of the customers.

We have been to the Hotel Tyrol several times and every time it feels like coming home. The entire team is very warm, the hotel manager is always very attentive and very careful to ensure that all guests feel comfortable. The hidden humor of the 'young' man at reception is also striking. The food is delicious and always on point. The selection also includes vegetarian variations. Even at lunchtime you are well supplied with cakes and sandwiches. The hotel contains a lot of loving details. Dogs are also welcome and it is possible to eat separately in the evening with your dog. Anyone who finds something to complain about here is out of place. We are already looking forward to our next vacation and can hardly wait. Best regards The Grölz family from Cologne

As long-time holiday guests in Schenna, we vacationed at the Hotel Tyrol for the first and last time. Compared to many other hotels in the same price range in Schenna, the Hotel Tyrol is by far the absolute worst address! Pools and sauna dirty and partly covered in silt. The floor in the outdoor pool is torn and there is a risk of injury from the pieces of covering. The hotel manager acknowledged my complaint with a smile, nothing more! The foreign service staff is unfriendly and spiteful every day. Other hotel guests were also annoyed by these incidents, but unfortunately did not intervene with the hotel manager, who apparently didn't care about anything.
